Minis On The Edge
What is the most interesting Container you used to either display a miniature scene in or turn into a miniature? Mine is only a shoe box I turned it into a 2 room a/2 scale house for my oldest daughter ;) (I know, hardley NO imagination )
BlueUni47
I use a cornucopia to do a Thanksgiving scene in it . I follow a tutorial that I got from a mini group I belong to and was written by Tams. I also did a Halloween scene in a pumpkin
minijunkie
I never used any unusual container. I have only done a couple of completed scenes. I have so many ideas though!
TinyJudi
I haven't done anything in an unusual container. I almost did my sister's roombox in a shoebox, but DH talked me out of it.
Hallowell
I did a room in a clock. You can see it in one of my galleries. ;)
Minis On The Edge
And why did he not like that idea ;) I used it because it was something for the girls to do on there own and they were able to use my scraps of wallpaper and carpets to decorate. It was fun.
KathieB
I haven't done one in an unusual container, but I'm looking for one. Since I did the pet shop for one niece, I need to do a room box for her sister, who is big on frogs. Have been looking for something with "frog pod" ambience but haven't found just the right box/basket/shadow box yet.
Missymew
So far, the one that comes to mind for me is my 1/2 scale Teddy Bears' Picnic in a Suitcase (cardboard suitcase that I bought at Michaels Crafts). -Susanne
Tams
As Glenna said, I did a Thanksgiving scene in a cornacopia. I think there might still be a picture of it in my gallery.

beccas1963
Tams looks great. Is that a big bowl of mashed taters? I love taters! Bec
Tams
Thank you. Yes, there's mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, stuffing, corn on the cob, pumpkin pie and of course the turkey.
havanaholly
I built my first roombox into an ornamental birdcage: and I used watch parts, cocktail forks, a razor-blade pack, jewelry scraps and foamboard to make a stove for the Westville. I've also used seashells & barnacles to make bathroom fixtures (the Arthur blog & my McKinley album).
TinyJudi
Tams, what an adorable little meal. Low calorie I would imagine. Holly, a beautiful roombox. Both have such detail and creativity. Wonderful job both of you.
havanaholly
I really like Jet's pirate scene in the little chest!
Tams
Thank you, Judi. Yes, it's low calorie, but not very filling either! LOL
nuttiwebgal
I made a potting shed scene in a watering can for my mother. I have a treestump looking peice waiting for a project that is forming in my mind. Id like to have a scene in a teacup. someday I will do one. nutti
