havanaholly
Hoo boy, I can hardly wait to open the McKinley & see what surprises await me I don't think I've had any warpage to speak of yet...
LPCullen
Jimmy says warpages are easily overcome, so long as you can glue wood to wood ... which is why he won't let me primer anything ...
nuttiwebgal
warping is bound to happen. I dont feel upset I have warp boards like Jimmy I just play with them till they do what I want. but if I had more than 2 to play with in one project hmmmmm dont think Id be happy much. lol most of the time just gluing and taping it all together is all those nasty boards need! :o tape them into shape. lol funny picture in my head of( the attic floor being weighted down with King Kong on top. ) like MicroJivy "cute captin" pounding that floor into submission....lol anyone think I should have not had that last glass of bubbly? havanaholly
anyone think I should have not had that last glass of bubbly? On a 20th anniversary you should be allowed that last glass of bubbly In vino veritas, y'know. I pounded the nonwarped floor of the Glencroft into place with my handy hammer, as well as some of those recalcitrant roof panels. [Note to newbies: this is NOT what we refer to as "bashing".]
havanaholly
I have opened the box & so far (knock on wood, NOT the kit wood), no warping. Today I glued the back wall pieces together & reinforced them along the seam in back with a piece of plywood. I also reread the building blogs.
