  1. The Haunted Heritage

I grew up in an old white farmhouse that probably looked pretty creepy to others, but I loved it. It was way too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer and had generally outdated decor and musty upstairs rooms. But, it was my first home and even though it no longer stands, I love it still.

I bought a Dura-Craft Heritage kit sometime ago when I found a good deal on a kit in near perfect condition. I find it interesting that the few pieces broken in the Heritage kit I can replace with pieces I already have from the lost Dura-Craft kit I had a long time ago. Perhaps meant to be...

I have no idea where this project will end up, and I rather like that open energy. I see in my head an old white farmhouse...not completely dilapidated but in a state that might make you pause to enter...but with a warm albeit old and perhaps historically creepy interior.

  2. 1/6 scale house design

Working on a 1/6 scale stacking design, with the elements I love from Salisbury house in Des Moines IA, Coheeries Mansion from A Winters Tale movie, Reign series Castle interiors, Skyfall home with the construction principals from my JP Morgan 1/6 scale dollhouse and other dollhouses. I will build the windows my self, since they will be various and large, the largest windows 20in x 15in [some bump out style ] My husband made me promise no construction will begin until my design layout on all floors is complete. Its an ambitious project yet in my mind I am coming up with a simplified method that will be very workable

  3. WyckedWood Beacon Hill~The Sea Hag~

~The Sea Hag~ This house has evolved and changed so much since I first built it,it was originaly dark, brooding and empty and then it slowly became light and charming.I thought I would never decorate it and now it seems to take the contents of every other house I own for its own...very demanding and rewarding;-)

  4. Free wallpaper printies

I have collected these over the years, and have photoshoped them, so they are ready to print out on A4 size cardstock or paper. This should give you the right size to cover nearly one wall, if not, just print out a couple and match up the print. I hope you like them, I will add more as I get time, I usually sit and do them while watching telly at night.
There will be roses, baby themes, folk art, country style, bold and beatuful, and lots more.
If you take a look at my Willow gallery, you will see some of these papers on the walls.
    Cheers Deb.

  12. Stong Museum

These are the photos of the dollhouses and miniatures from the Strong Museum in Rochester, NY. Since these are behind glass many of the photos have some glare, but I hope you enjoy. I didn't have too much time there but I did manage to take a fair amount of photos in that time. :)

  19. 2011 HBS Creatin' Contest: Revolution Avenue, Thorny Coast, ME

Welcome to Thorny Coast—Maine's Smallest Big Treasure!

On Revolution Avenue, in the heart of tourism and shopping mecca Thorny Coast, Maine (practically invisible on every map but ours), sits a very special street of tiny shops.

Niall 9, the high-end dressmaker's shop, is full of gorgeous gowns for every taste from traditional to modern; if you're hungry after trying on finery, head next door to the Thorny Rock Candy Shop for treats from cakes and fudge to—what else?—rock candy. From there you can browse the selections of swimsuits, wetsuits, surfboards and skateboards at Wet Street Surf & Skate, where great colors and amazing graphics will keep you stylin' on the street or among Maine's choicest waves. The kids can even play around the play-lighthouse or at the indoor sandbox while you shop! The Candy Shop and the Surf & Skate began by sharing a converted garage, but Surf & Skate has become such a popular destination that it's expanded into the old brick building next door, where landlord Joe Olivette lives upstairs. From the looks of his desk, he's hard at work keeping the books and making sure all the shops are in ship-shape. Don't miss a stop at O'Crabby's Crab Shack when you're on your way down to the shore—enjoy the rugged coast, and don't forget to have your picture taken at the town's most famous landmark, Thorny Rock!

The idea and design of this entire street of shops—from the goose on the garage roof to the mice at the dumpster, and every detail in between—was the product of my 12-year-old daughter, who has been producing minis alongside me since she was seven, and has begged me to let her enter "Ernie's contest" for a couple of years. The building and months of handcrafting that went into Revolution Avenue were our joint project this year, and we've never had to waver from her amazingly complete plans for this gorgeous "little" corner of Maine!

  22. Chefalas Delight

My dollhouse is a typical Edwaridian London House. The facade is Georgian. It belongs to a pious noble spinster the Honorable Lady Violette. You can also see her maid (Mary) and her visitors Miss Phoibe and Rev. Theodore.

  25. The Garfield

Will slowly upload pictures. I dry fit the house twice and finally cut the floor and foundation as it was too big to fit thru the door.  Lots of pictures of dry fit to help me and maybe others put it together. I am putting on all wallpaper, doors, window frames before finally gluing the walls. I did not put in the window sills as windows will be the final thing I do on the house. I made a real copper ceiling for the kitchen as I had a large roll of copper, cut out squares and imprinted with Cuddlebug.
