1. Witch's Vineyard Cottage

   A "quick" build for me.  Doing just a little bashing by upgrading the windows and door.  I am adding the stained glass window I purchased off eBay some time ago.  I am also adding a small 'add on" bathroom to the back of the house.  I decided on a witch's cottage after finding some great Halloween pieces.

2. Haberdashery Shop - “Roberts & Knight”

   In my early teens I LOVED minis. I had a shop that my mum had found at an auction for me. It had a dark green double front, with bay windows that were amazing for setting up little displays. I eventually set it up as a Haberdashery & clothing store & spent hours making little items for it. It was eventually sold & many of those miniatures sold with it or lost. 
   In my early twenties I started to make a new one using plans that came from a Magazine (Dolls House and Miniature Scene, i think). I had the shell built, components for the front, and had wallpapered the inside with Brodnax Prints, but never finished the facade, nor did I ever get any interior fittings made. I don’t even know what happened to it
   I’ve always wanted to re-make it, so during the COVID lockdown I decided to have a go. I started with the Dollhouse Shopkeeper book as a starting point for sizing & construction techniques (and realised that original shop was made from one of those plans!). The front was inspired by False Front Architecture sHops that were typical of gold rush towns. I just liked the style. And well, I just kind of made it up from there!

4. Suzy's Half Scale General Store and Quilt Shop

   This is my second miniature project and I decided to go with half scale due to space and the extra challenge.  I am creating this with the Taft General store as the basis, and making it my own.  This is the side of  the building with the entrance to the quilt shop.   I created the brickwork with styrofoam plates and the Coca Cola sign by printing onto a dryer sheet and then decoupaging over the bricks.

6. Mini Needlework

   I've been doing counted cross stitch (and occasionally needlepoint) since 1995. A few years ago I ran out of wall space so I started focusing on petit point instead of life sized pieces. Here are some of them.

9. San Franciscan Interior

13. Remodeling 2nd hand dollhouse

    I picked up this dollhouse locally for $80.  It came decorated and furnished, but many of the furnishings were slightly out of scale and EVERYTHING was hot glued in place.  We are talking GLOBS of hot glue.  This is before, during and after photos of stripping this house bare and remodeling and fixing her up.

15. The country Victorian cottage 1/2 scale all handmade

    I have dreamed of this dollhouse for years. It was too expensive for me in the past and now RGT no longer sells it. So I decided to build mine with what I had at home: cardboard, foamboard ... while spending as little as possible. It takes time but it is built step by step.

16. 1:12 scale Seaside Villa

    I can never say that Las Vegas is the dollhouse desert because I stumbled upon a rare beauty. She is a purple behemoth at the moment. The seller said someone gave it to his daughter and she has been playing with it, but they are moving and it needs to go. She looked sad when I carried it away, and I felt bad for her. I feel happy for the house, because I will take loving care of it.

19. RGT Victorian Cottage Jr 2020

    Another Cottage for a client.  Originally this kit was to be for a benefit auction donation, but because of the COVID-19 lockdown, the auction was cancelled.  Around that same time one of my Mother's friends asked about a house for her 3 yr old granddaughter and it was the perfect solution!  The build kept me busy during my time off and a special house was given to a special someone.

20. Queen Anne (RGT)

    After wishing and dreaming for 10+ years, I finally became the proud owner of a Queen Anne dollhouse! Purchased for a little of nothing and major rehab to be done...I'm up for the challenge and love this house already!

21. Green Cottage

    I chose this little Greenleaf Haunted House kit with the sole intention of turning it into a Witch's house. However it didn't want to co-operate - it kept protesting that it wanted to be a sweet, feminine cottage. The house won. I started her back in 2015, had a long hiatus from minis, then came back to work on her in 2020
