  3. Rusty Playsteel

Trash or treasure? My grandmother saved my mom's tin dollhouse and threw my Marx ranch away. Obviously I haven't taken care of it. The furniture is in much better shape. RL is interfering with my good minis so might salvage this as a display for the furniture. Still may trash it.

  6. English Manor House

This is only the beginning of what I hope to be a giant manor house and outbuildings.  I looked mostly to the Tudor era but took some creative ideas from other eras.  For some reason, not all of my captions and title saved so I added them in the comments.

  8. Muzeo Museum Exhibit

There are 5 Greenleaf houses on display at Muzeo in Anaheim.  The Buttercup was built as a haunted house.  Some of the houses have Neon light around them. The Black Light flashes  on and off, and you can see scary words painted on the houses. The houses were previously part of a Neon Exhibit at Muzeo. The Travel Trailer has outdoor area with BBQ. The Arthur is styled as a Farmhouse with Amazon packages all around, The Orchid is styled with Shabby Chic interior decor and has electricity, and the Madison has become a surf shack. These houses will be on display at the entrance to the Museum until early September 2023. https://muzeo.org/

  9. A Stoned Egg Carton

I’m a huge fan of stonework, and I’ve been itching to try the stones-made-from-egg-cartons technique. Decided to give it a go this weekend, and I had big fun! First, I needed something (smallish) to apply the stonework to, so I pillaged the appropriate components from the unopened Alpine kit, and whipped up a fireplace.

  12. Duracraft Linfield #4

8/2/23 update— this house is headed to its new home in CA. A lovely woman will be it’s caretaker ❤️
It’s a certified obsession now. I’m starting house 4 before house 3 is finished. I’m also running out of room. I love this lighter duracraft kit!

  13. The BFD

Starting an album to track progress of a dollhouse redoux. This is a house acquisition I found on Craigslist. I never look on Craigslist for dollhouses anymore- well I haven’t for years- and just randomly looked and found this diamond in the rough languishing in someone’s shed. Could. Not. Resist.
Thanks to member madtex it was identified as a dollhouse offered circa 1980s, built by a company called And More in WA state. It’s a fully enclosed beast of a house, two rooms deep. Until I come up with a classier name it is fondly referred to as the BFD.

  15. My First Build: Victorian Room Box

I thought I'd get my feet wet by starting with a room box. I purchased an interesting one from Earth and Tree that has a door and a window in the back wall, and behind that is a second back wall, allowing for decorating outside the window. My vision is a Victorian drawing room with a tree and a garden visible through the window. It's coming along quite slowly (which is fine), but at present it's at a standstill while I study how to do the wiring. I choose to use round wire, and, while I know that I'm capable and it's just one room and I have a supportive boyfriend who has lots of tools, I'm intimidated and stalled at this point because I have no experience yet with wiring.

  21. Plasco "Little Homemaker's Open House" Round Doll House

In 1948, Plasco's first dollhouse, "The Little Homemaker Open House", was a pre-tin era dollhouse. It was a circular home made of fiberboard. The interior had lithographed walls and the exterior had a transparent cellulose acetate walls so the furniture and interior wall were open to view.
This house, I have scanned all the walls and used photo shop to reprint and paste the freshly reprinted graphics to the walls. One of the walls were missing and I built a wall out of the foam board. I could not find any fiber board. I am in the process of rebuilding the stairs. Purchasing the last of the Plastco furniture to make this collection complete. With some extra features to make the home look lived in.
I am installing the battery lighted lights to shed light in the rooms. I call this my museum dollhouse. I call this my Nicole Drive House. I acquired her when we lived on this street.

  22. Barbie Dolls

For some reason people keep giving me trashed Barbie dolls and other types of dolls they run across while dumpster diving or randomly finding them.
They are always dirty, naked and with horribly abused hair.   I'm not into dolls at all....but I do love restoring beat up things so I've added this to my list of hobbies.   I have about 50 dolls so far, so I'm just getting started.....

  23. Aging exisiting dolls to look older

I wanted to have dolls of all ages.  We are in a world of babyboomers so the aging process has many levels.  I wanted to have older dolls that depict the people in the 45 to 70 group of TODAY.  I have found some older looking action figures as well.  So my mini world will have infants to this older group.

  24. Lawbre Shadow Cliff Victorian (my second build)

I am so happy I was able to adopt my dream dollhouse from a nice couple from Tennessee.  The Lawbre Shadow Cliff shell was built in 1985.  It had a few things that need fixing, but is in fantastic shape overall! I am excited to start turning it into the beautiful lady it was meant to be.
