  7. Rainbow Sparkle house (for my daughters 4th bday)

I got this unfinished house shell for $10 already assembled except for the shingles, door and porch. I’m fixing it up using scrap items for my daughters upcoming 4th bday. Her favorite color is “rainbow” and her alter ego is “Sparkles”, the super hero 🤣 not my usual style but hope she likes it!

  8. The French Chateau Remodel

My parents gave me this house over 30 years ago. I completed the shell with the help of my dad, but life, marriage, kids, and many, many moves put the house on the back burner. But, my husband always managed to keep it safe during the moves. Now I've decided to start over. I've removed all the siding, brick foundation and I'm starting over with the vision of an old run down French Chateau purchased by a young couple as a fixer-upper. She is an interior designer he is a Chef. They've completed the inside but the outside still needs to be done. I had to cut extra windows as this is a front opening house and there were no doors or windows on the side or back. I added 4 windows to the side and I've cut a huge opening in the back for an addition in the kitchen. I have a vision and plan... now to see if I can make it happen.

  10. Pierce Re-Build

Re-build of partially constructed Pierce. First dollhouse since 1982! Dollhouse partially assembled with glue gun and wood putty. Porch floor was scored for floor board look and painted grey. Musty, dusty house that had been stored in a basement. At least it is dry!

  13. The laurel

When I was a little girl mama use to clip out pictures of houses she loved and would wish she had. It always stuck with me. And she never got to have her big houses she use to look at when i was little. I couldn't give her a Dream house when she was here. But I can do this.
So this is mama's house. Will even have some of her favorite Vera Bradley patterns printed out and in the dollhouse.
I lost the original doors and windows so I upgraded them. And the big windows I made. It's my first window and learned what better to do next time but I'm happy with how it turned out.

  15. Lacamas Lake House

So I bought the Lacamas Lake house that was posted by Emily on FB Marketplace. Within one year I went from having one dollhouse that I hadn't touched in 15 years, to 3 dollhouses. Both the Lacamas Lake house and Joseph Angel were houses the I dreamed of and thought I could never have. The Lacamas needs to go in storage until I find some room for her, but hopefully by the end of the year I'll start working on it. I already have inspiration houses lined up ;-).

  16. Seaside Villa 1:12

I bought this dollhouse almost 20 years from Norm's Dollhouse in CO. It's gone with me on a couple moves and, with homeschooling 2 kids and running my own business, I just never had the time to finish it off. I also felt lacking in skills. Then, I bought a Joseph Angel dollhouse which sparked my determination to work on my first love. I don't have a lot of before pics, so I'm starting the album with a good chunk of the house already done.
I've made a few modifications to the house: Created bay winows on first floor,  changed interior layout, so it might look a bit like the Visalian, but it is a 1:12 Seaside Villa from Norm's dollhouse.  😄

  17. WyckedWood Beacon Hill~The Sea Hag~

~The Sea Hag~ This house has evolved and changed so much since I first built it,it was originaly dark, brooding and empty and then it slowly became light and charming.I thought I would never decorate it and now it seems to take the contents of every other house I own for its own...very demanding and rewarding;-)

  18. Pierce Rehab

I need another project like a hole in the head but I couldn't resist this sad looking Pierce at the Goodwill for $20.  Looks like someone gave up on it as none of the trim pieces are on.  It's in rough shape but I think I can make something of it.  It's been put together with hot glue so I shouldn't have too much trouble taking it apart.  I'd like to make a different stairwell hole on the second floor to accommodate a Houseworks curved staircase I've had in my stash for decades.  I've never restored a house before so any comments of suggestions are welcome!  I'm thinking a stone exterior (egg cartons) with a slate roof.  Would love suggestions on how to make the shingles.

  20. Renovating my Model Homes Victorian dollhouse kit

After forty years, I am finally making the changes I've always wanted to make to my childhood dollhouse. The goal isn't for this to be period accurate because there are too many sentimental items I want to include. I've been taking a lot of pictures so that my dad can follow along to the changes I've been making and or offer advice since he's the one who built it for me.

I wrote a bit of a story through the descriptions of each photo, but like any new member, I didn't realize that albums display recent images first, so you should start at the end if you want it to make sense.

It's not the most elegant title for an album, but when I started researching my dollhouse kit I found that the name of the company that made it, Model Homes, doesn't lend itself to accurate Google searches. I've only seen four other examples of this kit built, including a spectacular example by member, Madtex1967, on this forum, so I'm hoping that if I add lot of tags, other owners of this kit will find me and we can compare notes.

  21. Skilcraft Cape Cod 1:12 Scale

My summer Cape Cod House. A Skilcraft "Cape Cod" kit. The kit comes with a carport, I built a conservatory instead. I raised it and secured it to a platform with a rotating base (lazy susan) so I can turn it around. Other than that it's in the original kit form.

  25. Wicker Follies

I purchased a kit on Ebay some years ago, probably 7, and like most things I laid the kits aside and promptly moved on to other things.  I decided to make the kits as part of a challenge.  I am so glad I did!  I really love how these have turned out and am planing on making many more items!
