I remember when we would go to the millinery shop to get our hats and gloves and sometimes scarves. It was so different way back then when we all wore hats all the time if we went out.

I can recall having Easter hats and Church hats when I was young. They lived in boxes under our beds.

We had our little seasonal gloves and muffs too! Little petticoats "just for special" is what I called them. Sounds silly now with how relaxed we all are in our dress and décor but I think we felt "special" when we wore those "saved for best" items.
