Third Color - Failed Again!

So I think this is the 4th or 5th coat of paint on this side. The first color was a pink that was just too light for the trim colors. The second was a darker pink with a bit of violet (meant to complement the dark violet in the red mahogany trim), which turned out to be quite unappealing to my eye. For the third color, I abandoned pinks and went with a dark yellow which is used in my daughter's bedroom. It was a bit too dark for my taste, so . . .
