Stacked-crate shop "shelving," 1

welcomehomeminis

I've owned the top crate (by Texas Tiny on ebay, I love him: http://stores.ebay.c..._fsub=321290013) for a couple of years. It was originally meant for another of my shops, also located in the fictional town of Thorny Rock—which is why I chose a Maine-stamped crate—but it never found the exact right home.

When I was most of the way through this project, I realized that I'd made more product than the half-round shelving would be able to carry—and besides, a truly inviting shop should have more than one display area to look at! So, wanting to continue varying the textures and shapes in the shop, I pulled out Texas Tiny's lovely crate, and decided to make more crates to go with it, in a couple of different styles, finishes, and sizes—as if over time, the family has kept crates from supplies that were sent to them and assembled their "display shelving" organically.

Five crates later, I had two stacks of three to go on either side of the half-round unit.
