A great little saw Jennifer......I have this one and it's bigger brother.........This gets more use though!
I am VERY impressed with it!! They make a lot of small tools! Do you have the lathe? Ive been looking at it ;)

I have the wood lathe, not very happy with the quality.

The collets are made of plastic and they wear out fast. The bed is aluminium and it is quite flexible. The tailstock does not align with the center spur, in fact it has a 1 mm left to right play in it. Tool rest is aluminum and it catches the tool, not allowing a smooth movement.

The only advantage I see is the size and price. I paid around $200 for it and I can use it on my desk. Nest step would be a pen lathe, which is around $500 for the china made ones and they are huge, compared to the proxxon. Plus you have to get a collet chuck for them to do minis which is another $100.

Best option would be an old watchmaker lathe, but they are rare and expensive.

You can see this lathe in use on my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWSRNbhnlahD43ZNPkNUTzA

If you have more questions about it I'd be glad to answer.
