The Magnolia By Greenleaf ~

I built this for a customer who wanted this house done for his Grand daughter for their Christmas Holiday. I had a matter of days to build it and I built the house, wallpapered & electrified it in 10 days! <img src="/public/style_emoticons/default/ohyeah.gif"">http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohyeah.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ohyeah:" border="0" alt="ohyeah.gif" />

Lovely!

Did you get any feedback from the family? It would have been lovely to know the little girl's reaction on Christmas morning. She had to have been thrilled.

I did get pictures of her as she received it. The story is, the Grandfather is Ill and not expected to live much longer so he wanted to build the Magnolia for his Grand daughter as a last gift before he pass. Well he couldn't do it and he found out about me and hired me to do it. So I built it and asked him to send me pictures of himself & his Grand daughter and those are the pictures I shrunk down and put on the mantle and above the fireplace. I also bought the "Ernie" doll (The one that comes with Blache) because it looked so much like him and I sent that to him as a gift for his Grand daughter to always remember him by. When he got it delivered to his Hospital room, he said it made him cry because it was better than he expected it to be.

Even though they only gave him a "Few Weeks" to Live, I talked to Grandp JC yesterday and I am making MORE miniature pictures for this dollhouse for him to give to his Grand daughter. He's a real sweetheart and knows how to charm a person to do his bidding for sure.

Wow Tracy,, this is one of the most beautiful house I've seen yet.

The story of the Grandfather brought me to tears.

You do amazing work.

Tracy, this has got to be the sweetest Magnolia I've seen. It's so bright and cheery, just beautiful. I'm so glad you were able to get the house done so quickly. We all know you are amazing and now Grandfather knows it too! What a wonderful story.

I 've built 2 Magnolias. My dog bumped into the first one, I rehabed it and sold it at discount to a woman starting her own childcare. The second I sold to a little girl. I wish I kept the pics, but they were not as nice as your magnolia. You are truly talented!!! I am honored to get a compliment from you on my Crestview in process.
