Some of the old wood applied here. It is the same pattern all the way around - horizontal on the bottom and vertical on the top. Unfortunately, I discovered after I put it on that the windows and doors are going to have to be adjusted because of changing this over to 1:24 scale from the 1:12 original. Arrgh!! Means a ton of cutting and redoing to make it look right in this scale. Wish I'd thought of it sooner. sigh ....
