I am building a traditional Russian stove for this fairy tale. (In English it is: Pechniki. In Russian it is: Русская печь) In a couple versions of the Baba Yaga stories it refers to her sleeping on the stove. The RL Russian stoves have sleeping lofts as they are used for cooking, central heat, smoking meats, drying herbs and laundry, and for sleeping.
