Bought an older Greenleaf Westville dollhouse kit used. It looked as though the original owner opened the box and then taped it right back up. All paperwork, even advertising, still in the box. Must have been stored in perfect location as the wood is in great condition: No warped wood, no dry rot nor bug damage.

Are you considering changing the attic floor so the area is more usable? I've seen a couple that either lowered the floor a bit or raised the roof a tad to create actual rooms.
