Great mood shot with the light streaming in.

How did you do the floors? Everything looks great and so real!

The floors were just scribed with a 2H pencil - that way it was able to indent at the same time it was marking and left less of a lineweight.  Then Minwax Mission Oak stain and amber Shellac topcoat.

 

This area had the added issue of the wiring for the back bedroom below running on it.  I changed my mind about the lighting for that room after the ceiling had been put in so I had to run the wire through a small hole in the ceiling and then from there to the wall in the background.  I used the same groove method and then painted the wire to match the color of the floor.  You can see the darker line - the paint color isn't exact.  But its close enough.  This room will also have additional half-timbering applied to the walls.

I like the rail and banister.
