butler pantry progress

biomom

I'm very excited about this room. I always love walking into old houses and seeing butler's pantries in real life!

Shellie at Minietchers has been terrific helping me get all of the custom cabinetry for this room. After trying (and failing at) air dry clay to make a stone sink, I finally settled on using egg carton and paint. Much better!

The floor is wood coffee stirrers from Staples. 1000 for about $3 - Good deal but VERY labor intensive to put down each one. I decided the upper floors will need to have a combination of the stirrers and some pre-fab parquet.

I am waiting for a bunch of goodies to fill the cabinets...then will add trim and windows...and install sink with some hardware.
