kitchen close Up

biomom

This floor was a labor of love. I used the egg carton brick technique. Getting the right colors was very tricky...especially after I grouted. I always struggle with that step. Maybe I need 2+ coats of varnish before grouting? Maybe my grout is too thick? I have a hard time getting off the unnecessary grout and keeping the bricks from warping. Anyway...this turned out well at the end. A final coat of varnish helped hide excess grout that I couldn't get off and the colors look great.

I handmade the wainscoting and sink installation. The wall cabinet and table I actually got unfinished in a little dollhouse shop in Paris but I think they are available elsewhere. I think I got the sink on Etsy. The little shelf by the sink is from Minietchers.
