kitchen close Up 2

biomom

The stove area was fun to figure out. I had the little stove as an unfinished piece I picked up in some random dollhouse shop a long time ago...then spray painted flat black. The drawers all open. All of the Victorian pictures of kitchens that I looked up had these large mantles around the stove. So I lucked out and found this unfinished 1:12 fireplace that fits the 1:24 stove perfectly!

The maker of the hutch on the left unfortunately isn't doing 1:24 scale anymore. It's a shame as it is REALLY well designed. The little spice box comes from Minietchers. For something so small, I really struggled with putting it together. The floor is egg carton brick laid down in a herringbone pattern by yours truly. I made the hood out of spare wood and copper paper.
