Dry fit fabric auditions

Deb

Now that the wallpaper and woodwork are done, it's time to do a little work on the textiles!  I put the house back into dry fit to get the overall tone with the fabrics in each room to make sure I like them.  I'll be making all the curtains before assembling the house because it's easier to get the proper measurements while I can lay the walls flat rather than trying to reach inside it.  As long as I'm at it, I'll go ahead and dress some beds, couches, and chairs.  I'll set them aside when they're done and they'll be ready to put inside the house as soon as I finish building it!

I'm planning on doing some silk ribbon embroidery on at least one or two of the beds and combine them with layers of frothy lace for a very airy look.  I've been debating about making mosquito nets for at least one of them just to try it.  It would go with the nature of the house really well.
