Strapped into the back seat of the car - heading off the WA State Fair.  I don't expect to win any prizes on this because it is out of scale, but I wanted to take it anyway.

Ribbon or not- you will be sharing this wonderful little treasure with hundreds of people!  :)

 

That's really why I am taking it. All the time I was working on this I could almost feel the presence of the couple who built it, and it was made with great care and love for their little girl - whoever she was.  Then it sat neglected and abandoned for decades.. I just wanted to give it a chance to shine again.  Might get "best in category" though - since there won't be anything like it!  LOL

I am always sad that our state fair doesn't have a dollhouse category - and our local fairs have it as "all hand-made:no kits" so that knocks out any rehab house or even an exceptionally well-built kit.  Maybe I will see if I could get away with entering one in the 'other' category!  ;)
