i was originally going to do a full stone facade on the house but was inspired by all the houses in my subdivisions that are brick and stone

@jbnmini Thank you. Yes, I can't believe it did stay straight but it was not super thin. The fireplace was paperclay and that shrunk and is off a little. I have to figure out how to straighten it out.

everyone here makes it look so easy to do all this fancy stuff. It's not. I'm a little frustrated with the fireplace.

 

the door was easy. I used the original door to trace out a cardboard template and I measured out the opening. I made lines for planks of wood and just sketched along like wood grain. The handle and hardware was very thin polymer cut out and glued on with sculpey baking adhesive. It was pretty easy. I usually bake for 15 minutes but it said to bake 30 with the adhesive. I sanded done everything to smooth it out and painted it. I did it all in about 1.5 hour. 

Im def going to use polymer more. I like the control of it
