Sitting room cupboard

sage minis

The chalet was refurnished as a colonial household with mainly American primitive furnishings.  I made this storagecupboard  to house the family china and  other bits.  .

I know it is not the proper style really of the times - but bees were often motifs.  I very much liked this one - whether it will terrorize the family - I don't know.

(My sons loved insects when they were young - so I HAD to get over my fears as we were catching wolf spiders, petting tarantulas etc.  However - if a bee of those proportions buzzed into my house -  I'd freak!!!!)
