The all-white exterior completely changes the proportions of the house, I think. One of the things that bothered me about the old color scheme was that the bright white shutters looked so huge, and that some of the other trim features were lost.

Thank you! I started adding some basic trim to the exterior of the house, and really happy with how it's looking. I hope to start the real work on the interior soon! I can't wait to see it with new ceilings and floors!
