My next needlework rug project is from an old latch hook rug pattern.  I liked the look of the original pile, so I plan to do French knots.  I was going to try silk gauze, but that was above my pay grade.  :D  So, not wanting to lose the details of the original pattern or switch to cross stitch, I altered and printed the pattern on cotton fabric.  This should top out around 210 hours of stitching time.  Here we go!

This will be truly spectacular when done.  I've wanted to try gauze, but it seems so delicate, it makes me nervous. It was a clever idea to print it on the fabric.   Can't wait to see how it turns out with the French knots.
