MerrimackWindowsDoorsTestFit.jpg

This is the test fit of the doors and windows.  The two windows (tall skinny and triangular) are part of the custom window set I bought from Earth and Tree.  They are really beautifully made.  It is very important, though, to test fit all the doors and windows, because the openings must be sanded and/or filed to square the corners.  The triangular window opening especially needed work, as the corners were quite rounded, and the window would not have fit otherwise.

They look lovely... Look how tiny that little solid door is! Squee! Cute!

Yep, it's tiny!  I wish they made a plain door, though.  A plain, hollow-core door would have been more the style in the 50s and 60s.

They look fantastic, and I 100% agree on the fitting, the wood needs to feel cozy and have a bit of room to stretch its legs during summer :)
