Your fireplace looks amazing! What did you use for the stacked stone?

I'm curious about the stacked stone, too. Plus, I love the stairs wrapping around the fireplace.

Thank you, everyone!  It's my first gallery post!  I used scrapbook paper that had a handmade texture and a leather texture (but, not glossy).  It was black.  I spray painted it in brown, black, gray, and white...very splotchy...just as random as I could get it.  I ran it through my paper shredder and I also used a paper cutter by Fiskars used for scrapbooking to get uniform strips.  I threw all the strips into a box and mixed them up.  Painted the wood with primer and then a gray paint....then glued each strip on.  Afterwards, I sealed it all with Mod Podge.  It took about a million years....but, it was cheap and I love the way it turned out.
