bashing patterns II

havanaholly

I mentioned I wanted to put the porch on this house (in spite of the bay window on the porch) so I made a pattern for the porch roof, which wraps around the left side. I cut my foamcore pieces as long as the longest measurement of the porch floor edge in each dimension and 1" wider than the porch floor, then lay the pieces so that one edge was flush with the edge of the house opposite where the roof pieces would come together. I marked the tabs and after I cut them out I marked the top edge of the roof piece where the edge of the house wall came. When I cut along the line from the top edge mark to the bottom edge mark on both pieces it gave me the angle for the pieces to join along.
