I may have missed this, but what did you use for tile?  They look wonderful.

The tile Is 1/16 balsa I painted it with 5 colors and then cut them to size 1" x  2" then laid them individuelly 

colors are base is a light cream all over , ( the rest are dabs and lines ) then light warm grey , metallic charcoal grey , metallic gold.

lastly mash them kinda like when painting marble. I found the idea in a book to make terra cotta tiles
