Finished floors

jbnmini

The floors in the Cadigan farmhouse are finally finished!  Since this is a play house and not for a collector, they got the basic scoring treatment.  The client wanted a dark stain...this is actually a medium color (Gunstock) first and then a darker stain (Jacobean) after the scoring was done.

Saw these over on Facebook Jackie. Really great job, especially given you were working with the house wood. :D

You got a lovely color on the floors! I love how you're rehabbing it as a house for children to play with but also making it really beautiful. I think it's a shame how cheap and ugly so many children's toys are now - as if it didn't matter what they see or come to love. What a great heirloom and treasure this will be for a lucky child, and worthy of her precious childhood imaginings!
