They used Linotype machines later. I haven't figured out what era we're in yet.

I actually worked at a plant that still had mental type and Linotype operators left. I have metal type and I have really small ones . If you would like some let me know . I have boxes of type as I made my husbands Business name in wood and metal blocks.
