Moonlight Retreat exterior part one

Dalesq

I didn’t take photos of the very first steps, but I began by building up the center of the flat wall panels to give the exterior more of a curved profile. I used long strips of egg carton covered by card stock. Then I added a layer of paper bag strips. For the roots I made forms from builders foam. Those I covered with paper bag strips too. I’ll be adding texture, but this is created a base for me to build upon.

That looks wonderful!!  I'm doing a really big tree trunk - created out of a concrete pipe form.  I haven't started the outside yet so I'm watching what you're doing with interest!!
