Making the License Plate Light

With such an awesome license plate I needed to illuminate it for all to see

I again searched for a ready make light and found one for 1/10 scale RC cars. After it arrived on the slow boat from China I attempted to modify it to be closer to 1/12 scale. I ended up with a pile of cut up plastic

I decided to try my hand at making one from scratch. I first found a picture of a vintage camper license light to work off of. Then I converted to scale and cut everything from styrene sheets, squares and hollow tube.
