Lol. I just keep thinking of the phrase "pink monstrosity" I saw in another post. Definitely daubing on some red paint with a sponge.

It is a nice shade of pink, but how frustrating when you were going for red!  I know it's a little late now, but for future use, is it possible to add paint to the paste to get the color you want?

I put barn red acrylic paint in joint compound and used a stencil to make the bricks. The video I watched had brick red joint compound. The only place I could find that was England. Shipping was more than the item! So I improvised. I think I'll dab red paint over it with the stencil. But I'm trying it out on scrap wood first. I was happy with color when it first was applied...didn't expect it to lighten so much in drying.

In looking at other gallery pics I am really interested in paper clay. I'll look for videos on that. The brick wall in the little red cottage is awesome!
