Medieval 519 Posted December 13, 2019 Lol. I just keep thinking of the phrase "pink monstrosity" I saw in another post. Definitely daubing on some red paint with a sponge. Quote Link to comment

jbnmini 2,062 Posted December 13, 2019 Is this Magic-Bric? And yes- it IS a rather nice shade of pink. Quote Link to comment
Debsrand56 1,903 Posted December 13, 2019 It is a nice shade of pink, but how frustrating when you were going for red! I know it's a little late now, but for future use, is it possible to add paint to the paste to get the color you want? Quote Link to comment
Medieval 519 Posted December 13, 2019 I put barn red acrylic paint in joint compound and used a stencil to make the bricks. The video I watched had brick red joint compound. The only place I could find that was England. Shipping was more than the item! So I improvised. I think I'll dab red paint over it with the stencil. But I'm trying it out on scrap wood first. I was happy with color when it first was applied...didn't expect it to lighten so much in drying. Quote Link to comment
Medieval 519 Posted December 13, 2019 In looking at other gallery pics I am really interested in paper clay. I'll look for videos on that. The brick wall in the little red cottage is awesome! Quote Link to comment
