Peter Pumpkin's wife Patty is the sister of Peter Piper, who's famous Pickled Peppers the world loves. The two Peters became good friends as well as brothers-in-law. They now work the Piper family farm together to supply all the fresh produce for the Pumpkin stand as well as the delicious Pickled Peppers Patty preserves. Patty Pumpkin works out the tiny red barn beside the Pumpkin stand making pickles, preserves, relishes, jellies and jams. The Pumpkin stand and the Pickle barn sit beside the road where the two Peters and Patty can watch as the wrold travels by.
