Artificial bricks_1.jpg

Due to the low-tech system of the sliding wall, I needed to keep the weight down as much as possible, so instead of using real bricks, I cut "bricks" out of 1/8 X 1/8" boards. They're half the width, but the same height and length as the other bricks. I'll include a finished wall pic as soon as I reach that step.

a question: wahtis the material for the bricks?wood? I 've seen amazing affects for the walls but I can't understand if they are real bricks or they are made with other materials

Thanks!

Except for moving walls like this one, all of the bricks are real, kiln-fired bricks from Houseworks. This wall slides sideways to reveal a hidden wine cellar, so I needed the wall to be thin and light, thus the thin, wooden bricks were cut and installed instead of real bricks.
