I'm glad I painted it, you can't see the texture as well but I really like the color. I just need to coat it now.

What did you use to make the tiles? They're really wonderful!

Thanks Deb, I made them from paperclay. I rolled out a thin sheet of it, glued it down, and then carved the pattern into it after it was dry and sanded. The wall tiles are glued to a thin board that was sealed to keep them from warping while the clay dried.

You have a great eye! And a very steady hand! The tiles look absolutely real. Very very nice. And the finish is excellent.

I've only just started with paperclay and I love it because you can work with it while it's wet or after it's dry. This really was not that hard to do.
