If anyone is looking for mini equestrian paintings like the one above the fireplace, get your hands on some back issues of The Chronicle of the Horse; they always have a classical equestrian painting on their cover, and always publish a smaller version of it with a description in the back.

Thanks everyone :) . I did make the rug--I cut brocade fabric to size, stitched about 1/3 inch in from the edges all the way around, and then unraveled the fabric to the row of stitches to make the fringe. Very simple to do!
