Day 12 2

dooder85

We discovered the dreaded curling shingles at 10pm last night, so a job that was supposed to be a few hours turned into a shingling marathon of glue, stick, clamp, wait which lasted until 2am. At this point I thought to myself "well what if there was glue on both sides, then the shingles shouldn't warp" - this approach actually worked and I was able to get quite a bit done in short order. I have to take the rest of today off to finish the shingles and get the paperclay onto the chimney, painted, varathaned - and then Hanna gets her little house for christmas
