New vanity and chair

I found this vanity, but without its own seat, it was probably sold because usually these are sets. So I searched through the whole shop and chose this chair. I really love it, when I got it home I loved it even more, the carved back goes really neat with the bed in this room. Id like to change the covering on the seat but its on there very firm so I think a good solution would be to make a slipcover for the seat. The chair will keep its wood finish, it has a beautiful glow, but the vanity is getting shabbied up...as soon as I decide what color??? Blue, mint, cream....yellow?? Any suggestions or opinions welcome...

Thats a great idea Jen, I love toile. Id have to find it in mini print though, let me know if u know where I could get some. I also love that french script fabric thats so popular right now. Thanks for the idea.
