Grandfather clock

WyckedWood

Ive been working on this clock for a few days...this is the basic grandfather clock with the dark high gloss varnish (my nemesis,lol)...so its been shabbied up with several shades of white and cream and aged. I redid the clock face with a jewelry finding and a new face from google images...after spraying the new face with a sealer I aged it around the edges. Aged old books are stacked haphazardly inside. I knew when the clock was in place ( entry hall) only a few of the books would actually be seen, so I put the prettiest covers on that side, the others are basically filler. I also removed the plastic from the little door on the clock.

Thank you both! It was sheer luck that I happened to have a filligree finding that fit this clock perfectly:-) I want to make another one (just the filligree and the clock face) for a kitchen clock too.
