Hi Roxxie2 Finally made a decision about the roof of the porch and will now add a photo of the finished article. I decided on a canopy awning in green fabric as I still have not made up my mind regarding finishes on the roof and it does seem to have toned down the paintwork. Pics to follow!!!

Spackle (polyfilla) if you still want a textured finish.

Hi Holly, I have put on the canvas roof but it is still not fixed as I want to see what it looks like when the roof is finished but thanks for the suggestion.
