I sure love these ladies...trying to decide whether to paint them or not...if I do I'll go with a very faded light wash of colors. One of them will be the new downstairs newel post, the other with the base...will be sitting on a side table under the blue rose painting (I think) nervous about painting them though, dont want to mess them up.

they are great... I love the idea of a newel post too.... I think painting them would be cool, but they look gorgeous as they are too :)

I am with Kelly, and I think we are not helping your dillema. I think they can be painted or left as is as they are already beautiful.
