I decided to paint the ladies...this is the one who will be the newel post. I like the way she turned out but Im still adjusting the paint here and there, the face is the hardest part. Her dress is a minty green and Im still working with how much antiquing I want to apply, trying to strike a balance between pretty and old and shabby

I wouldn't necessarily say she looks "better" painted than she did left white...BUT, painted fits more the style of the house which isn't really a Classical style, which would be more fitting to a pure white bust.
