This is a picture I took of the outside of the box when I was first trying to decide what it was and where it came from. I've since removed some of the tape with a hair dryer. If anyone's heard of the Dollhouse Manufacturing Co., which was located in New Jersey and seems to have gone out of business in the late 1980s/early 1990s, please let me know!

They made windows, staircases, a turntable, and a number of dollhouses, including one doghouse! Judging from the picture I have, I think that your staircase is original to the house, as both the picture I have and your staircase have treads that extend extra long over the side. In 1981, your dollhouse was priced at $83.50.
