So I ended up buying a house this summer, finally. it's one of those delightful split entry ones that are next to impossible to do anything with. Although dated, the house has good bones - with a little sweat equity i've made a big difference in it over the summer - or so i like to think.

The house was painted various shades of lavender, beige contractors carpet on every floor, those awful accordion doors on every closet, faux butcher block counter tops, the list goes on and on and on..
