The stockings were hung by the chimney with canes, hoping St. Nicholas wouldn't complain.

Barbara Hill made these personalized stockings for the girls, and I also purchased the fireplace from her. At first I wasn't going to purchase the stockings as I didn't want to drive spikes through the fireplace to hang them. Fortunately, my friend Ann thought of hanging them by one of the stocking canes, and that seems to be working well.
