To make the bricks...
You got sandpaper
And you painted the sandpaper some kind of way. (?)
Then you cut lines into the sandpaper. Did that automatically give the appearance of grout?
Then you stuck it to the side of the house?
havanna holly, what books do you recommend for scale furniture patterns? I know there is a thread for this, but I was having trouble determining which books featured mostly furniture patterns.
Hello! I am trying to be patient with myself and just do an easy house! But I like stairs and not ladders! Do you think if I buy the 1/2 scale stairs they will work in the arthur? Or does anyone have a better idea?
Thanks

My half scale Rosedale warped and with the area being around those stairs it was hard to deal with. I eventually gave up. But I didn't blame the house. I blamed the dollhouse builder!
I would like to try again. Perhaps the half scale authur would be easier.
Boy I started the rosedale, but I guess I wasn't careful enough with the stairs and the whole house is screwed up. I really like dollhouses, but I need a house that's a bit more forgiving of my clumsiness.
I was kind of disappointed in my order from ItsyBitsy. It was simply paper printed on cardstock, and it looked as if the ink cartridge was weak as the colors are not very bright.
Serves me right. I should have printed them myself. fFor 2.17 a piece, I expected something more.
I wish I could stumble upon a Beacon Hill that was mostly completed for me to work with. I love that house, but know I could never do it myself. I had a Pierce that I made in college. I took it home and eventually it disappeared from my parents' house. I'd like to have that back so I could fix it up.
Do you think they will release a half scale Pierce? Wouldn't that be pretty?
There's another house I really like... it has a Spanish name I think? I'd like to see that one in half scale too, though I never see it in 1/12 anymore either.
