    Doors

I bought a door for my Garfield, and it is way too big for the spot under the stairs like i wanted it for, so i figured use it in a different place. TOO Big. I am afraid of cutting holes in stuff, but is that what i will be forced to do? If i want prehung doors will i be forced to make the slots larger? and at what point should i hang them? when do i stain them? thank you
  2. I have been looking around for better directions for the staircase and in the absence of finding those, and after figuring them out, i hate them, and they are ugly. How can i get different stairs? The websites all seem to have about 2 options....what do i do.
  3. I figured out the dry fitting thing by watching some UTube videos. And it makes a lot of sense. But then i started the stairs and wondered how to fit each riser in place for a dry fit? For something like that can i put the main parts together to make sure everything is square and fits into the slots....and when it does I can go back and glue the steps together, just not to the foundation? I was trying take but it wasn't staying together and the farther i got on them, the bigger the tape ball became. Thanks.
  4. the house has spoken to me oddly enough. But I have so many questions I need to keep it in ground idol and wait Until I get that far. my daughter wants it to be pink! I seem to be obsessed with flooring and wallpaper. Lighting...no lighTing? So many questions!
  5. The more i look at the Forums, the more i wonder what i have gotten myself into! So far the base went together well. It took me a minute to figure the base out. But i eventually realized that the numbers I marked on the main part of the frame, coincide with the rails!!!! Good God i felt dumb! I have it all together, the floor is on, and it fits beautifully! I am working on the gussets to keep the floor together, and laying the pieces out, the gussets will cover the slots for walls. This seems like the best place for them, giving enough support for the seam, however it also seems counter intuitive to cover up the slots will that be okay? Thanks for the help! Danielle
  6. Hello all, My name is Danielle. I have found myself in a world i am not familiar too, all by accident. My dad picked up a dollhouse at a garage sale for like 40.00. All the furniture, the box was unopened. My mom, looked at me and told me to take it. All the parts, all the furniture...and i just have to put it together. I never new there was such a cult following for all of this! The more i look the more confused i get! I am sure i will see you all on the forums from time to time! PS. It's a Garfield. (i think i am in over my head)
