Tree Instruction

I use copper wire:

Stack them together and starting at bottom twist them about half way up

Take the top half of wires and shape your tree. If 12 branches is too many then take 2 wires and twist together to form one branch leaving the end of wires separated.

Once your tree is shape the way you want it.

Take the end of your tree and make 3 or 4 little roots to make your tree stand.

Then starting at bottom of tree I wrap in masking tape up to the branches. I like to paint the trunk so I can use shading of the brown color, but you could use brown floral tape to wrap it.

I use a dried flower call german statics for the leaves

I use german statics because I wanted my tree to be for fall. But you could paint or see what other dried flower has in green.

Now break off a limb to the size of your tree branch .

I use masking tape and tape on the branch starting as close to the trunk, just enough to hold it and glue the rest of it on with glue.

You do this to all the branches , then paint all the masking tape brown .

Now you finished your tree. You can leave the base of your tree like it is or as I did found a base for it and drill a hole in the middle and glue it in.

hope you enjoy

Great Tutorial Glenna! Thank you so much! I'm sure we will all have lovely fall trees around our houses now! I have made tall trees using the Dollhouses to Dreamhouses Landscaping book that they once put out. It too calls for making a wire armature. Then wrapping the armature with floral tapes, painting it like in bark colors, and inserting the spread out "roots" into your base of operations. Then covering with leaf-like materials. I never thought to use statis though!!!! How cool! Again, thanks!!!!!!

You are very creative and clever! I love your tree!
